WEDS SA70 w/ Yoko Neova installed at Tire Rack

Just installed my new summer wheels and tires at Tire Rack two days ago. Initial impression is that the wheels look and feel OK. I definitely feel the loss of the steering response with the Yokohama Neova tires. The ride is more comfortable ....not as bumpy and the grip is unbeleivable. Also the car seems to accelerate a bit faster with the lighter wheels. The wheels are 17X9 with a 35mm offset and the tires are 255/40/17 94W. Will post more information soon. Just wanted to thank Neal and Adrian at Tire Rack for a great deal and great service. More pics (better pics) and first impressions coming soon!

You are judging tires that you only had on the car 2 days. That is to soon as the bead hasn't even broken in yet. Also the stock rims are VERY light.

I know what you mean but I can definitely tell the loss in steering response. The only reason why the Evo is so responsive is because of the stock Advans. You put those tires on any sports car and you can tell the difference in steering reponse right away.

As far as the stock wheels they're like 21 lbs(i believe) versus 17.6 lbs for the Weds.

The tires actually feel quite a bit quieter than stock.....more noticeable on the highway....which eliminates some of the humming.....didn't really get to test them in the wet,,,,but anything is better in the wet than the stock Advans...

wow, good call. I also just put the same tires, size and all, on my volks last week.
Haven't had time to test but also notice less sterring response and what seems like quicker acceleration. Wheels are 16.9 pounds. I will be carving the "Dragon" next weekend so I will be able to get a good test in.

That and the quickest steering ratio in a production car.
