Am I The First To Do It? Hid Reverse!?!!?

hey guys, i found out our reverse bulb socket fits the H11 bulb for our fog lights, well i bought 2 hid kits for fog lights because i thought one was broke and when i pulled it out today to put the new one it, i was like im an idiot, i hoooked wires up reverse becauset he harness guide broke because the kit isnt that great. but the new kit was a nice hella kit. ne ways they still worked. so im like what am i gonna do with these??? i looked at my tailights and i was like nah that wouldnt work thats retarded. then i got real curious, its only 2 screws, so i took it out, took one of my tails out. and sure enough, the hid went right into the reverse socket. so then i took a look at the harness that goes into the car, it popped right out, so the wires went through very smoothly. then i hooked the relay harness to the reverse bulb socket, then the power for the hids to the rear battery i have for my stereo. and bam, it was done, no pics yet guys because my car is all torn apart and theres no power to the car because i currently have no motor in the car. but soon i will have pics of this crazy i dea i did, oh and the fogs, highs, and lows, are all 12000k hid in the front too, so ya, call me crazy but whatever

So if someone is too close to you at a stoplight, just throw it in reverse and blind them

im goin to horizon audio tonight to pick up a relay harness kit, because hids need 20 amps a bulb, and our reverse is 7.5 amp and the wire is weiny so im gonna run straight to the rear battery, and use a relay kit, so i will post pics when its all done this is gonna be great for when i tint my windows i will still be able to see behind me !!!! it lit up our garage, the car has a total of 8 hid bulbs now ... i know its like close encounters of the 3rd kind. but no motor yet!! 2 more weeks then i will be driving again

How much did you buy ur HID kits for?

I knew a guy who used to have a 95 accord wagon that was FULLY done up for show, and he had HID's as his reverse lights, VERY sicK! hehe

the only problem i can see with it is the hid bulbs aren't designed to be turned on and off repeditivly. other than that i want pics!

please post pics. my lancer has the CRAPPIEST reverse lights... the brake lights are brighter. there's no reason reverse lights shouldn't be mega bright, you're only using them for what, 10 seconds on average?
