Question Seibon or Vis CF Hood

I'm hearing different things about each hood, Seibon & Vis. I will be purchasing a new OEM style carbon fiber hood, not fiberglass, by the end of the month. If you have pics of your cf hood please post them and give you opinion about it. Also, how important are the hood pins. Thanks!

hood pins(my opinion) are ugly and ruin the hood. Seibon has great quality carbon, not sure on the fitment. VIs is good also and heard they fit OK.(I have their trunk and thats a different story hah)

Well the reason I'm getting a CF hood is do to the OEM having hail damage beyond repair.

good reason to upgrade, I also do not like hoodpins. Seibon makes a great product but i'm not sure if they are clear coated.

well the reason i got a CF hood is b/c my stock one got hit by some jack a$$. but i got a Vis hod and its just a hair lighter than stock, fits perfect, but the top part of the hood is only CF not under the hood. but it looks great, CF on blk looks pretty good,

i will try to post some pic

Where did you order your VIS hood from. Also I have a white evo. Think I'm going to painted the sides of the hood to match.

Hood pins are not used for looks(at least by most normal people), they are a saftey device used just for that, saftey.

Think I'm gonna stick w/ the Seibon OEM hood. But I will get those hood pins... Better safe than sorry & $30 to save $600 is worth it to me.
