Hood dampers for the evo
My buddy has some Tein hood dampers on her STi.. and this has got to be one of the sweetest functional add ons for showing your car. the hood opens and closes with ease and much smoother.. plus it looks great with the hood just cracked half way while showing your engine bay... they have them for the subys, any chance someone makes them for the evo?
vivid sells them for the subys.

I want them.. They were $115 for the suby from gruppe-s.. well worth the price if they are close to that for the evo. I hate having to slam the hood shut on the car, plus the ecu doesnt like it either.
can you post the link?

If you are interested in the Redline lift kit, let me know. I have one... UNUSED.. cause I just did not have time to install them. PM me if you are interested. It is the same exact one on the link you listed above, not the Tein ones. comes with everything you need to install and very good instructions.

I have worked on an STi with the Tein's and they were super nice. I would just go to auto zone and buy some of the little stock replacement hood shocks to do this if I had an STi. My main concern on the Evo is the fact that I would be afraid of stressing the aluminum skin on the hood at the mounting points for these shocks. I could just be paranoid... If someone does come up with a safe cost effective way to do this I would do it for the sheer convinience of this mod.
