Seibon trunk help

Im at some depressing parts of installing this trunk

First is the latch. The original directions of moving the latch up and down didnt work. Had my gf sit in trunk confirming that the chassis latch is not close enough to the center of the trunk latch. I added 4 spacers and got the trunk to latch but doesnt unlock when I pul the trunk popper. I will try more spacers tomorrow though.

I removed the springs, tried all kinds of configurations of bolting the trunk to get it to sit flush but no go.

Last problem is, I cant to get the trunk to sit flat mostly the right side. IM not looking for anything perfect but I dont want this trunk to be an eyesore. The front is always flush or lower then fenders, and the back sits higher. Could this be the latch'ng problem? I have unbolted and rebolted the trunk many times but I cant seem to get this trunk to look good.

Is there anymore ways of adjusting the hood? Could I try spacers on the bars that mounts the cf hood and try to bring the right down a little more?

Thanks in advance, really hope to finish the install soon.

Nevermind, I concluded that this trunk will need serious modifications to fit. The trunk does look nice though, too bad because I really like the wingless look.

Thanks to those who helped via pm.

you can adjust the main latch hook on the car, that's what i did for my old vis trunk. it wont be perfect, but it's going to be at the point where if you slam it with a bit more force it'll latch.

Yep played with that all night. Used Spacers, moved the latch up and down, and cant seem to get it right. And when I did get it latched, it wont unopen. Also when latched there are killer gaps on the right - half an inch. The fronk is the trunk is really sitting under the fenders Im wondering if thats how it is.

I was hoping to get a cf trunk, mount it, align it, and call it a day. I know Seibon is a good company, but this trunk is really reall needs some custimization to work(body shop)

If someone in Chicago that wants to try to install it themselves or best yet to a body shop, buy it from me for a big discount before I ship it to treetconcepts real soon.

I agree, I had the same problem. I also used 4 spacers to get the trunk to closed. My right side sits flush but the drivers side sticks up about pinky width. I was not to happy with the fitment. Adjusting the latch is not going to help. It will have to be remolded. If you want to spend the money go for it...in my opinion, sticking up a little is not really that bad. Sorry to hear you received a bad trunk also. Shouldn't went with ViS for the trunk.

I tried flipping the latch and no go. I tried moving the latch from left and right, viseversa and no go with latching, locking, unlocking. Definitely not going to spend more money to get it customized. I was told it was would be an easy install and guarantee fitment and refund if not.

Well if you want a good deal for pickup in Chicago for my trunk that wants to experiment themselves or know how to modify parts let me know. Im feeling lazy about building a box for it.
