Question for Evo VIII Owners

Question for Evo VIII Owners
hello everyone, i have been searching for an EVo for about a year now. While getting some mechanics done at my local Honda dealership, i noticed that there was an EVo VIII outside. I took it for a test drive, and worked out a figure with the guy. Do you think that 27,999 for an 05 EVO with 13,000 miles is about far. Also i will be putting down a 2,000 dollar down payment. How much should you think i be paying for it a month.
By the way i am onyl 19 years old and bought my first car 03 Civic, when i turned 16.
Thanks for all the comments and inputs.

price isnt bad, but you could do a little better.. b.t.w. have you called to see how much your ins. is.. cause if you have your policy it can get very expensive, esp. if you have any points

for the past 3 years, i ahve not got one ticket nor one accident.... but i am on my own plan, so how much you think my insurance will be. To give you a rough idea i pay around $250 a month for payments and around $315 a month for insurance.

does it matter that i do live in Mass. Also you say i can get a brand new EO for 5 grand more, does that mean that i could probally talk him down a couple more thousand. And by the way its modified with only a boost guage.

at 19 yrs old even with a clean record you're still relatively young and would be categorized as being an inexperienced driver under insurance claims. therefore you should expect to pay a lot more than others, especially because this isnt like the civic you drive but a sports car/sedan. im 21 and was quoted for a fraction less than 900 per six mo. under my own name with good student discount. your location also makes a big difference.
as for your car payments, $2000? that's almost nothing. you're going to end up paying a lot more especially if your interest is >0% like everyone else said, save up a few (actually much more for maintenance, gas, mods etc.) more grand and buy a brand new evo. boost gauge or not its still modded already, you dont know if the previous owner did anything else to the car which may have tampered with its internals. you're gonna need the warranty, especially at our age when money's tight.
however, gl deciding man.

Before I bought my Evo, I got insurance quotes for two other cars - 00 Vette and 99 3000GT TT. Evo was the highest, so it is a very important factor that you have to consider. Also, if for some reason you get a ticket, what is going to happen to the premium ?

wow for real, how many miles? out the door means after tax, title, and licensing so you got a brand new 05 evo for around 25000 when msrp is 30699, invoice being 28xxx? you got hooked up with a really good deal then.. wish i can get that price for the IX.
