actually, you're really close to this one...just angle your frame out slightly. You're almost there!

Hey bro, actually I really love and agree what you thought and did. You did a GREAT job!
IMO,the biggest problem of EVO is super heavy weight. I wish my EVO could as light as JDM EVO RS SPEC(around 2970 pounds). So Lightweight(parts and mods) is always my concern, if you guys have ever driven JDM EVO, you will realize the difference between JDM and US SPEC EVO when cornering---that is weight.
You just spent 5 bucks and made your car drop 10 pounds. What a great idea! I'M LOVING IT.

I had Craft Square mirrors on two of my cars and absolutely loved them. Unlike the ARP, which you can't even see out of... these mirrors are similar in width to the stock mirrors, but the height is shortened. It's convex on both sides so you get the wide angle effect on LHD or RHD. Not available in the States as far as I can tell, but eh I guess you can get em if you want em badly enough
45,150 yen for the mirror and aluminum base (TC-N1 mode - the mirror with the rod)
40,950 yen for the mirror and aluminum base (TC-F model)
2,730 for the trim plate (it lists up to Evo 6, but I'm guessing either these fit the 8+ or they have em for the 8)

PS... I grabbed by sets when I went to Tokyo for TAS. Craft Square will ship them via EMS if you order from them. These mirrors are found on racecars from JGTC, Super Taikyu, D1 (Taniguchi's S15, for example) and so on.

as for function.. how are smaller mirrors more functional? but if you're talking about weight... wear short sleeve shirts, shorts and flip flops.. that should save a couple pounds... anyway.. really are you always 100% of the time concerned with weight? if you go to the track ... you could easily lose weight by removing seats/spare..etc..
honestly your mirrors are flat black looking and all square/rectangular with what looks like a steel bar hooked into a wierd piece of plastic sticking out which dosen't "flow" with the car.. the carbon fiber mirrors atleast are more streamlined and are cf...
