Yes since 07 and newer is an X and it is a different color blue. Not sure what they call the new blue.

HUH???? Octane blue is the color off the evo 10.

Lighter: yes

Brighter: yes

Comic Blue looks pretty good although it looks darker than EB.

The color used by Subaru is called Plasma Blue Pearl which is similar to that Outlander. Doesn't look anything like Octane Blue.

As far as OB vs. EB they almost look similar but I think EB is a bit darker.
