Carbon fiber doors? What's next.

Carbon fiber doors.....

How safe would these be?

.... Would be funny to see anevo with carbon fiber hood, trunk, fenders, doors since streetconcept.com offers all of these. Now just for the roof front bumper and rear bumper and it will be fibered out.

well, just like any of the things we buy for our cars its all made for off road use only. CF or atleast a dry carbon door will make a weight savings for anyone looking to shed every pound possible. When putting on CF panels its recommended to put a proper rollcage in the car.

DUDE WTF You would definately pull a couple backflips hitting high speed down hills like the one La Mans car that crashed who I'm sure everyone has watched.

Well made and well thought out carbon parts are strong. Unless those doors have some type of honeycomb in them I would be willing to bet they are not that light or strong. Like most cheap carbon parts they are probably mostly fiberglass with a layer of carbon laid up on top of it.

I would be willing to bet the HKS "Evo" is very safe since it is a steel tube frame racecar with an Evo body on it.
