this guys are all sheisters.. first of all, its very hard to actually find shops that wanna do work.. they will be like, well we are just to busy, but its cause they take their damn time on the cars they do have ripping people off.. people need to get real, everyone acts like money is no object but thats why our economy is headed dont the drain... It would through a huge fight.. and next time, have the parts painted and install them yourself.. the body work on this car is not difficult. My freind rebuilt a compete totalled evo that was crashed on a road course.. frame and all at home and did a better job then any body shop would have done... they quoted him 10K plus!..

 

well the car is done i will get some pics up soon i got him back down to 1800 cash after he repainted the front bumper cause it was horrible now i rate the whole job a 7.5 ...let me get some pics when i stop being so busy with work

^^^Im guessin he really didnt do this since the front was ****ed up as well, sounds like someone was going around a turn and lost control? One of my fellow Evo friends did the same thing lost control, car spun around hit the front into a ditch, re-spun and hit the rear into a tree, but he just did all the work himself with the Evo 9 rear bumper and a couple of front bumper replacements (lip + paint + stock used I/C) the total was around $1100

 

the front was not damaged at all actually i thought about selling it well yes its for sale..silver 05 evo front bumper... anyway what happened was i had a slipping clutch if that matters ...but i was doing a donut on a 2 lane road... showing off...but 1 3/4 the way into it the car died and i think the inertia threw me back into a tree on the side of the road ..if you dont believe me thats fine...i did both the bumpers cause i got the fron and rear for 200 from a guy that bought them from accolade and decieded not to put them on cause he could'nt afford the body shop bill..

How do you back into a tree going 30? Can evo's even do that?

Anyway, talk to the owner, if you are paying through insurance, call your insurance company, they'll take care of it for you.

I can't wait to see the pics. It's great that you got this a-hole back down to 1800, but that shows that he was trying to bone you in the first place. I just hope it was worth the 1800. It's hard to find guys that you can trust out there. I've had several guys try to take me. I finally showed up with a tow at one shop that had my car for a month with minimal work. I pulled the job from them right then and threw it back in their face. Post pics when you get a chance.
