Nothing new, I did my GSX wheels.. painted a silver lip and bronze centers.
(3) coats of brown primer.
(5) coats of paint.
(5) coats of clearcoat.
15minutes between each coat, done in a dry/dust-free atmosphere. Tape off the lip with some sort of scotch painting tape and remove once the last coat of clearcoat goes on. Viola!

I agree, my bad. My wheels have held up to Chicago salt and now AZ heat. Been painted once and look the same as they did when I first painted them, just a slightly darker hue. Wheels do look nice on the Evo +1.

J.K. I'm sure your wheels look good, but P-coating is doing it right...and even though I don't dig the polished lip, I'm sure it's worth some elbow grease.
Did you coat the whole wheel then remove and polish the lip, or did you mask the lip before coating?
