Tyres look totally badass. I'd stay home when it rains though.
Love to know how good they are.

17X8.5 with a +30 offset and 255/40/17s will rub the lip in the back if the car is lowered. If it's at stock height it might not rub. You just need to cut about a 1/2 inch off the lip to make 255s tuck in the rear

CE28's cost twice as much, but are probably a good 4-5lbs lighter per wheel. Strength is negligible.

Actually the RA1s are VERY good in the rain. I use them as my rain tire on my 911 that I race.

That's very odd. They look almost bald, hardly any thread on them. Are you comparing them to road tyres of other semi-slick tyres?

"The common shave for a full race set-up is at least 4/32. For Track day events we recommend at least 6/32 shave. If you plan on using them for everyday summer driving, then leave them full skid. It is important to leave the tires with as much tread as possible for street driving in case of rain. (FYI: Full tread RA1's are used as rain tires in competition.)"

Once the motor is in and its time to put the wheels on...my options for now is to roll the fenders or put back on the stock springs...(until I get the ohlins)...no rush! to do any performance driving, the car will be in the garage for winter once it gets out the shop. Only time I'll be driving is to break in the new motor.

But when It gets off the lift (I'll post if its rubbing or not)
