Black or White (dials)
First of all, a very merry Christmas to everybody....
Right, now let's get to the point:
I have been given the opportunity to buy a second hand, barely used, Ralliart instrument cluster (tacho, speedo, etc.) for a very small sum of money. Do I take it, or should I leave it?
Info on the Ralliart:
-White dials, red numbers
-Goes up to 300kph (useful?)
-Says High (mu), Mid (mu) and low (mu) rather than tarmac, gravel and snow
-Says Ralliart where it says Lancer on the stock unit

The stock (black):
-Mine's a JDM car so it's got amber on black dials. In keeping with the rest of the rather black interior.
What do you guys think? I'm split both ways, but leaning towards keeping it stock.

Man, not much support for the white faced dials...
What if I get the Ralliart 1DIN meter as well (the same guy selling). This includes oil temp, oil press, and boost. The faces on these are white with red lettering. I think they're made by Defi (there's a defi logo on the plugs).
My gf rekons the black is nicer too, I don't mind either way (read: prefer the black slightly but it's a bargain!!)
p.s. the white is kind of an off-white (yellow-ish). I'll post some photos...

one thing i dont like about the stock cluster is that it says lancer on there. i mean i know the cars are lancer evolution. but that should be one of the different pieces to distinguish it.

I don't know why the odometer reads differently.... very odd....
Oh crap! Just found out that the milage of the car is stored only in the instrument cluster!! Sorry about that....

the Ralliart white face looks great during the day.. but in the night i think it looks a little off...
sorry dude, but just my own opinion. anyway, ur interested in selling ur ori JDM speedo?

you can actually swap the LANCER word to a JDM meter cluster stating EVOLUTION (from a JDM VII) or Evolution (from an VIII).

Also, my JDM clusted says "Lancer".... odd that.
p.s. I'm keeping the white ones, it looks a lot better installed than I thought it would.
