double din Navi done w/o kit. pics inside.

i did the pioneer avic d1 double din navigation, without any "install kit". i couldnt wait any longer for it to come out , so i said screw it ill try it and see how it comes out.

well with a little ballz and some cutting. heres what i came up with~

all i used was the mitsubishi cd changer kit and the jdm surround bezel from Fizz Autosports in queens ny 219th st on northern blvd for those who dont know.

mitsu part was $50
fizz jdm bezel was $145
D1 navi etc $1245.00 best buy

so total cost was $195 for the mounting parts
and $1300 for the radio with camera.

heres some pics of the end result.

***oh and thanks to Ronnie @ "Toyz with Noiz" on elizabeth ave in linden new jersey for the help!!! ~ yeaaa yeaaa yeaaaaa you know how we dooooo~ 908-275-1125 if yous have any questions.***

oh damn... I REALLY want to do this! I've seen a lot of other posts but they all seemed more expensive/complicated.

did you just simply unscrew and move all of the climate stuff to the bottom? Did it basically just fit without much problem?

Congrats! You are one of the few to have a double din dvd! Lucky!

It looks like the a/c controls have been relocated using the single din mitsu part. I assume that because it looks like they almost fit, but have been trimmed to sit in there. How are they secured?

I have a feeling Fizz might want to go ahead and order a few more double din panels.
