im still having fun with my alky injection for the time being so I think ill wait a bit until I put on the turbo... unless I get pwned by a faster car

Read Shearer's website. Sean Ivy made like 530 HP on pump gas with a stock Evo motor.....at turbotrix.

I think 30psi would be pushing it on the stock block. 28psi is probably what ill be running

On racegas, safe from detonation or having a guy like Ivy (is it Ivey or Ivy?) tuning I think the total HP and the lack of detonation is key, NOT the PSi count. Like Ive seen motors pop hard under 20psi and a $hitty tune, and Ive seen motors make 450 like its nothing at 28 psi....its all in the tune.

what about 30psi if tuned right?

Derek, thats all speculation on my part. Seriously, just hearing of Sean Ivey a couple of months ago, I wouldnt speak on his or anyones behalf as Im one tenth experienced as some of these guys. Im a reader and a note taker, not a do-er. Just the same, if I'd have to take a guess, I'd say pump gas, methanol injection and an extremely aggressive tune will let you run 30psi and make that type of power....however, I would doubt the longvity of this motor would be substantially different than a modest tune. As far as Evos, the most powerful ones ive been in were Deciet's car making 420whp with an RnR 50 Trim, and Ku ba23's car at 420 and change before the Pruven Kit and the cataclismic failure of his crankshaft at 500 something whp on methanol and pump gas.

Shoot for like 400hp on pump and maybe a little more on meth.....but over that racegas and a built motor would be highly recomended.
