Carbon Fiber Wing Conversion Done
I greatly appreciate the How to that was written on this. Made it very easy. Took about 14 hours, but I didn't like the clear coat. Took it to a body shop after sepending another 4 hours to remove the clear and reapply. They taught me how to buff it and what to use and it came out much better. I still think I may redo it one more time as it got a little hot on one spot, but it looks pretty good overall. Just a couple of quick pics.
It should look pretty good after I finish refinishing my wheels. That is going to take a few weeks though. Here one is after the first 30 minutes.

It is pretty easy, but you have to be dedicated and very patient. The only thing that I would like to add to the How to is better clear coat instructions. If you don't want to take it to a body shop, (you probably should) then you need to know how to polish the clear that you put on there. I used 3m Finesse-It and Perfect-It with a high speed buffer and it worked great. Just don't let too much heat build up in the pad while polishing.
The wheels started out as flat black 5Zigen FN01R-C like this:
I am going to do a gloss black with a polished lip. Should look pretty good after it has dark wheels again.
