Mudflaps would be very helpful in my pic above. I was killing the car with rocks and dirt flying everywhere.

Yes, AutobonEvo, that's me in a Rally-X. One way you can always spot me is by the fact it's a GG MR with the Forge Brake Duct Cooling Kit. There are only a few Evos using the kit, but I haven't seen another GG MR using it yet.

Also, ventshades would have been nice maybe, because I had to leave all 4 windows up on a very hot day, and it was very difficult to breathe. Otherwise, I hate ventshades. People don't get them for racing usually - they get them to look cool, but they accomplish the opposite.

You need a rugged ladder frame of a truck for all that extreme isht.
Most Rally cars arent lifted. They are in fact generally lowered a little (even WRC gravel spec) for better CG and the fenders are modified (per EVO WRC). Pikes Peak cars are generally lowered as much as possible.

To me a stock EVO looks like it has already been lifted an 1".

After running 275/35/18's I am in the market for mudflaps on my tarmac only driver...my WW paint is taking a beating under the front doors and the Ralliarmour ones from Lancershop will be on soon. They also keep the 'mist signature' to a minimum on the freeway during rain. Our cars were made for mudflaps

I agree w/the whole canards/lip/CF hood/kitting debacle on evo's. All the money used on the rice package 'transformer collection' could be going to really sick wheel combos instead that would give the car more performance and a menacing, respectfull look than any of the JC Whitney body stick ons can do.

This is why alot of the Gen-Y people still gross out the ole Evo: 2fast2furious and the X box games taught our future driving public its OK to do such cheezy mods

A correction

What a mess, I should have spared the hyperbole in my original post.

Allow me to rephrase: I'm not looking for rock crawlers or moon buggies.

How about I put it this way: Any Evos that have been modified to be both a capable rally-x car and a good daily driver? Is anyone adding durability and strength to their Evos? I realize that a stock Evo is theoretically capable of being driven to a rally-x and performing well at the rally-x.

I can't be the only person that likes to keep their car sideways on horrible roads as much as possible, some of us drag/auto-x is pedestrian.

I avoided asking for rally car pics (I'll say it again) because I can easily find them on the internet, whats more I can't afford to break the parts that are on real rally cars so what is the point?

And finally, I don't have an Evo or even a car for that matter.

Talon, nice pics.

The lack of people with 'rally-x style' modified Evos is making me even more eager to take my Evo in that direction.

Ok, well im a little confused from this thread, and its because ive never seen/ridin in a rally modified evo. Are they comfortable on the street? Seems like almost all evos are street cars and if they're in the mud they're riding on stock suspension. I dont know, just doesn't seem practical to devote your mods to rallying unless you compete.
