REQUEST: tough Evos [I hate body kits]
This is not meant to insult anyone but...
I can't be the only person who is sick of seeing plastic crap bolted to every conceivable surface of the Evo. Am I the only one who thinks that body kits make Evos look cartoonish no matter how much you paid for them, and what kind of unobtanium they are made of?
So here it is, I'd like to see some tough, bulletproof, brawny, badasss Evos that don't have all kinds of fragile looking CF do-dads riveted to all the wrong places.
Think MadMax: matte finishes, rally lights, skid plates, mud flaps, steel wheels, lift kits, gravel tires, military colors...you get the idea! I'm not looking for straight up rally cars, I can get those pictures anywhere.
Thanks-MR

I personally think it would be a waste of a perfectly good car.

The evo is not made for the track, it's made for the rally stages......(Carlos Mencia Retarted Noise)

I agree .. somewhat.
im trired of some of the downright stupid stuff people put on their street Evo. Canards, window shutters, and F*CKING mud flaps??? These are all completely useless on the street and as such I brand everyone with them as a RICER.
I dont think people should be lifting their evo's though.. wtf man?
I just like to see clean evo's with no crap stickered all over them.

Downright stupid?
Canard I am sure slightly decrease lift minimal yes, but making a good car better is all about squeezing out the last tenths.
Window Shutters as you call them, I suppose you mean vent shades are also highly functional, they allow you to leave your windows open in poor conditions for whatever reason you deem nec. I think they look ugly, but hey, it's not my car.
F*CKING MUD FLAPS are probably the most usefull on the street, being that if you drive on a surface that is not perfectly clean (i.e. the street) your tires tend to kick rocks+debris up, so it protects your paint.
If you brand all the people that have these items on there car as a ricer, you really really are a dumbass.
Your evo has a vortex generator on it, you cannot talk **** about any of these other mods until you take that off!!!!!

I do think some Rally/Pike's Peak cars are lifted a little from stock, so the idea is not totally outlandish. A set of coilovers deisnged for Rally could probably do an inch or 2 of lift. But I still think an extreme off road version of an Evo would be ugly. It is not a Z-71 or Wrangler and will never be a rugged off roader. Its a unibody for cryin' out loud. You need a rugged ladder frame of a truck for all that extreme isht.

the ventshades allow you to leave a crack in the windows. whether it's raining, or 100 degrees out, they are functional. if you don't like them, don't buy them. to call them rice is ridiculous.
if you've ever driven through a puddle that happened to have mud in it after it rained, you're glad you have the mudflaps. they help keep your car cleaner just a bit longer. i can't count how many rock chips have been averted due to the flaps. especially with the stock tires. those things caught everything and threw it backwards.
although, it looks like mudflaps wouldn't help too much where warrtalon does some of his driving
the car can still look "clean" with mudflaps and ventshades imo.
