Oh $hit, you actually did it! And here I thought it was just the shop fumes talking that day.

Looks pretty good and I agree, the red/silver combo was not the easiest on the eyes. Did you get your pads in yet?

i think baby jesus cried. defacing the Brembo name makes me feel on edge.. haha

anyways, go to your local sign shop and have them printed. we had them made for my dads chrysler 300c and they have been perfect.

comes with black brembos, and we painted them red and had a decal printed out.

tell them to go to brands of the world.. its a site with every logo on it.. and its in the EPS format which sticker and sign shops use. they can copy and paste that into their program and press print.

Maybe he meant *not* designed. I always thought if/when my calipers start to fade I would have them painted black with white lettering. I've always liked the way wilwood's black caliper kits looked.

You sir are my freakin' hero!! I plan on doing the same thing to my car in the near future as part of my project "JDM-Sleeper Evo". I will definitely be contacting you for assisstance in the near future when I get ready to do this, if you don't mind that is. Huge props for being one of if not the first to do this!

Just shoot me a pm. Be prepared to have a couple of days down time for the car. I was just stubborn and did them on the car as I'm sure it would be much easier if you just removed them. Btw I have found that the Duplicolor paint stripper is just about the easiest to work with. You're looking at about 3 applications per caliper to remove the thick a$$ Brembo paint. I have also heard that the Zep paint stipper is the best stuff around. A friend works for a big marine diesel shop and that's what he says they use to strip off the baked on emron paint. Your best friends in this project will be painters tape, news paper, if doing it on vehicle like my masochistic a$$, a bunch of copper brushes, Autozone carb cleaner, best stuff in the world, and a nice sharp pick for those pesky stubburn spots.

you know, out of all the things that make the evo stick out, i think i have gotten into more conversations about those brakes first.

it always starts off the same "You put those brakes on yourself, didn't you?"

heh heh. i like the stealth on the silver.

I dunno, to each his own but I really have to laugh at the whole "stealth" car comment with that big *** wing on the back. I think 99% or people notice the wing before the brakes. Again NOT BASHING at all, I applaude you for not falling into the whole "DO LIKE EVERYONE ELSE" group man. Good to see someone who doesnt mind doing thier own thing, all I am saying is it's not my cup of tea.

Why did you have to strip the paint? You already had the clear off, the paint wasn't going anywhere...seems like you could have just roughed it up with some sandpaper and painted it with the black.

As for the logo, maybe you could have a stamp made and use hi-temp paint as your "ink".
