Your crankcase breather is likely ineffective.

To each his own.. I don't care for most of the wheels I see on other cars so I understand.. the gap, well, I guess you missed the part that said I haven't done the lowering yet.. I have a set of springs, but have been on the fence if I want to use them, or go straight to coil-overs.

Understand that my car is purely function, nothing on that car was done for appearances.. Even the braided hoses were done for a reason.

Its a breather.. same as if it was plumbed back into the intake (there is no provision for it on my intake)

Its not emissions legal though because the vapors that exit escape to the atmosphere and I do have to address that eventually.

It made more sense than putting a oil trap on there which is expensive and just as ineffective.

Yep, I have had some trouble with it as I started running higher boost, I switched to an HKS SSQV which uncharacteristically works better on my car, its a positive seal valve (pressure holds it closed) so it works better than the Forge did. I definitely can't recommend an SSQV for the stock turbo though, it flutters and causes surge on the smaller turbos, plus you have to recirculate it if you have a MAF regardless..

Do you mean to say that your car isn't some sort of a convoluted lifestyle statement? Heresy!

:-)

Was just curious. I need to get a flange and have mine welded on. Where did you get the braided hose covers

Jack car looks good! I have been reading your posts and learning for three years now although, it looks as if more recently you have turned to the dark side of giant turbos!

In my experience springs = noise, bottoming out and the sh*ty guilty feeling of compromising the stock ride for a lower stance. I must have taken them in and out 6-7 times chasing different squeaks, clunks and other unsavory noises and vibrations. Waste of $ and a line-up IMO.

I found the PSS9s to be as good or better on the street than the stock set up with a moderate drop.
