Hey guys I am planning to buy these wheels. I've got an 05 mr with stock suspension lowered on tein s tech springs. Can I get away with an 18x9.5 without fender rolling or different studs? Thanks for any help

My car is actually an VIII... thus the VIII headlights. I'm hoping to pick up a set of the JDM VIII's if I can find a relatively good offer.
I wouldn't suggest running it without the extended studs as you'll need the spacer up front regardless to clear your brembo's. Additionally, you only really need a slight roll in the rear... Depending on how much clearance you have right now I don't think you'd want to risk it to be honest.

sorry to bring back an old thread but i love these wheels..
could any body please tell me if a staggered setup would work better
F 18x9.5 + 27 - mainly for better turn in
R 18x9.5 + 40- rear guards are already rolled and bumper bolt relocated
Tyres would be 255/40/18
Thanks gents

I love these wheels on he IX and VIII's but my OCD kicks in because you need to run a spacer in the front and not the rear so the front sits wider than the back and that pisses me off.
To run ext. studs in the rear with a spacer or to run a spacer w/o ext. studs? That is the question.

I picked up a set of these this year. I went with the 18x9.5+40. I wanted to fit 265 tires, and didnt wanna touch my rear fenders, so I went with the +40s. Does require a 25mm spacer in the front. Nothing in the rear. Spacer in the front doesnt bother me since I need a spacer for my fd/hoosier wheels for the track too.

My fenders are virgins but not for long. Once the weather warms up, I'll see how much needs to get done. I'm currently on MR struts w/ Swift Spec R's. Here's one all cleaned up
