EVO IX JDM taillights Amber strip removal?

Hi there,

In November i'm getting my IX, but i dont like the JDM taillights with the amber strip.

Is it possible to remove that amber strip?

And the USDM tails have 2 white reverse lights as where the JDM tails have a redand white.
The red one is the back-foglight over here.Is it also possible to make that into a clear one just like USDM tails, but then with a red bulb in it instead of a white?

Dude your thinking too hard, all your going to end up with is a realy bad looking JDM light, either go full jdm or stick to the stand issue US lights.

Is there anyone that has done this before?
Maybe with some pictures?

Is it for sure it is a plastic piece, and not the housing-color?

... if you removed the amber strip from JDM MR taillights then wouldn't you just end up with USDM taillights?

So rather than butcher your JDM lights just buy a pair of USDM lights, swap them and sell your JDM lights on EVOM for teh profitz!

hehe, i think you are right.

Someone allready PM'ed me to trade his tails with mine.
But i see there are more people that are interested.I hope this will not start a fight between the members

One more detail --> The JDM Euro taillights dont have 2 white reverse lights. The left one is a red one that we use over here as a rear (red)foglight.

Just wanted to let you guys know so that it's not a surprise when you get them

I get allot of PM's over here now, but i have another question.

In Belgium we need to have a rear foglight and on the USDM taillights there is no foglight.

You can see the foglight on this picture with arrow :

http://www.ledsgo.be/stuff/foglight.jpg

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a foglight of it just by putting in a red bulbs, or do i need to do some rewiring?

Maybe the cable from the left one is comming from the foglight-switch with the JDM ones, and the cable from the USDM is comming from the reverse signal.
So i think if i turn on my foglight with the standard USDM taillights that i will have 1 white light at the back. And if i replace that with a red bulb i have my foglight again.

Ben
