So do you think the s2k's are too big to retro in the Evo housing?
I've done about 3 retros in other cars before, just don't want to buy the projectors and not have them work out.

The evo projectors are nothing special IMO. I've used Valeo ECE's, Bosch's (mainly from BMW's) and Hella Bi-xenons so I have some experience...
The spread IMO is not very good. Light output seems ok, but not on par with the Valeo's. Nor is the output very even....

I have the S2K's in my IS300. Bigger bowl. Not evo housing friendly...but anything can be done.

My other car does have a 2JZ.
I'm using the TSX because the S2K housing is bigger. I have that in my IS300. It also is a little longer I believe.
There are width and length constraints in the IX housing. Too long and it'll hit the metal sheetmetal in the engine bay. Too wide and you won't be able to clear your side turn signal shroud.
I did not colormod my TSX as I don't think I really care about color. I was more concerned about light output compared to halogen. I told myself a few years ago I'd never drive a car without HID's ...so I had to make this happen.
My other car does have a 2JZ.

So, those of you commenting on not liking the Evo projector: are you speaking of the USDM, or JDM projector? Are the JDM projectors that much of an upgrade from the USDM ones?
I'm used to German cars, and e-code lights blowing the USDM stuff away for it's spread + aesthetics to boot, and just assumed the same was true of JDM lights (even if people whine about the RHD projector pattern).
