Im an idiot- OEM front lip got ****ed up....

Hey guys,

So my brake pads are gone and the car just doesnt stop. Anyways, last night I was really in a hurry and I pulled into a parking spot real quick but the car didnt completely stop in time and the front lip got popped by the curb. Anyways, it is like not attatched to the bumper anymore at the very front so there's like a little gap in b/w the lip and the bumper. I inspected it and a couple of the little black plastic tabs were broke off from the lip. My question is am i ****ed? Do i need to buy a whole new front bumper now? I know im going to at least need a new front lip. Am I going to be able to replace those black bracket things that attatch the lip to the front bumper? Im so confused. I would appreciate any help, guys. Thanks!

you just need a new lip

good time to upgrade to an aftermarket one

unless you cracked the holes that the screws go though on the bumper itself

then you need to get creative or a new bumper/lip

I park almost 2-3 feet away from the parking curb. I suprise myself some times on how far away I am. The IX SE lip is lower than my old VIII so I take no chances.

I think you just need a new front lip not a new bumper.

if u upgrade to say...hawk hps pads or similar sure they are performance pads and yes less brake dust, but a liltle known fact is that performance pads squeek like a mother...ker i rolled up to chicago with a group of buddies in evos and all had hps hp or hps/similar and damn the whistle we made going in between those buildings it was loud and a sight to see. all the locals were probably thinkin we should change our pads but we know we can stop alot faster than they can in their lexus/bmw/benz brakes

I had a similar problem with pot hole encounter. The side of the lip popped off. The black plastic tabs that hold it on were still screwed to the bumper, luckily. I removed them from the bumper and reattached them to the lip using a hi-tec adhesive (plain crazy glue!), and screwed the lip back on. No gap and it looks great!
