well i ended up doing mine flat black about 2-3 mths ago...didnt come out as bad as i thought...some parts arent as good as others, but it wasnt professionally done...i did it with a rattle can though..only because im getting a professional job with custom color here in about a 1- 1 1/2 mths..so i did it just because.
cleaning wise is really easy...all i do is wet it wash and rinse...dry my wheels off and walk away..
but if you do it right..flat black is the ****...like i said my hood and bumper and some doors look really good.the roof was hard and doesnt look that great.but i just did it for fun b/c i had plans on a custom paint job..

if you do it right you take care of it exactly the same as regular paint... the clear is what gives paint the crazy shine... or most of it.. a flat clear protects the paint the same it just doesnt have any shine to it... Ive allways wanted to do a car a very dark, wine red type color in flat.. I think that would look great. That sti is awsome!

flat white be kinda pointless, I don't think you'de even be able to tell. Maybe from certain angles, with the right lighting, but otherwise, nope. It seems flat or matte colors have become more popular recently, probly cause of the flat black wheels that have come around. I would never do it, I like the shine, but it's a cool idea if you can pull it off and make it look nice.
