Tried searching for the answer and came up empty. I was wondering if the Evo 8 headlight assembly is the same as the Evo 9 headlight assembly. Are they interchangeable? Thanks in advance!

Besides the HIDs, the only difference i have noticed is that the evo 8 has a "chrome silver" color housing while the evo 9 has a "smoke silver" color. Here are some pics to show the difference:

The plan of attack is to swap my non-HID IX headlights with a set of HID ready VIII headlights. I guess the color difference is the only difference as far as USDM models are concerned? Thanks for the comparison pics Red Demon! So they look like they are interchangeable as far as fitment goes?

 

Also I have noticed that the IX have a greenish headlamp lens cover where the VIII's are more neutral in color.
