Here are some shots from colorado of my car. p.s. Please dont flame because the car is outside, nothing else I could do.
These were after I had already cleared off the snow the night before. Here are some of the gfs truck to show how much came down.

Yeah, the snow yesterday was mad! I set off from work at 1:30pm and made it home within the hour (the usual journey length is less than 30 mins). It wasn't too bad in the Evo - my neighbour took a similar route and didn't quite make it all the way home. He took 3 hours in total, though he was in a RWD Lexus.
The most difficult portions of the drive were the piles of snow made by the snowploughs at the on-ramps and exits to I-25. I had to cross two, and I could feel the car bogging in the snow a bit, but it pulled through and up the off-ramp when I got home. I have Michelin Pilot Alpin 2 tyres. I also had to avoid a lot of abandoned cars that were beginning to get buried. The only vehicles still moving were SUVs, trucks and AWD cars (I saw a lot of WRXs).
The Evo pulled like a monster through the snow drifts. When I got home I was faced with a 2 foot drift on the driveway, sloping off to one side with 1 foot of powder at the lowest point. I gunned it and somehow managed to slot into my garage before the snow really started to fall. By the next day there was a 5 foot drift on the driveway.
All in all, a lot of fun, but not for the poor people who braved it without a suitable vehicle.
