IX first upgrades?

What did everyone do to their IX when they got them?

I'm looking to tune but not sure what else I feel like.... hoping for ideas.

Please post pictures of your IX! Thanks.

Kind of awkward to have this in the Show & Shine forum... but... I suppose most people do performance mods first. Drop in filter, boost gauge, boost controller, exhaust, tune.... there's your stage 1... if you hunt you can get it all for $1500 and you'll be at 330whp

Keep it simple and to the point. Get a Warrrtalon package from Buschur Racing. Its pretty much one of the best bangs for the buck out there now. For 1275.00 you get 330WHP and a great smooth driving car with enough power to keep a smile on your face everytime you drive it. There are a lot of choices you can make about modding your evo.To me this is a great package. If i didnt get the BR350 i would have definetly gone with the Buschur Warrtalon package in a heart beat. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Before my car had 1000 miles on it I did the following:

Turboxs downpipe
Turboxs cat delete
Turboxs Catback(now greddy ti)
Turboxs intercooler
Walboro 255
Turbotrix flash
Intake
Carbign craft: carbon plug cover, license plate backing, exhaust heat shield, radiator shroud
Cusco strut tower brace
Eclipse head unit
buschur racing mini battery kit
cusco manifold heatshield
cusco type 2 brace
cusco rear triangle bar(sold because on rollcage going in)

Before 1700 miles

Helix Dna track coilovers
Cusco adjustable rear swaybar
corner balanced and aligned
ralliart shiftknob
agency power radiator hoses and billet antenna

car made 342whp and 331wtq without the ic.

The best mod i did for me was the coilovers. Huge difference in handling. Not too bad on the street.

Love those coilovers... I'll be getting some in Summer '08, which is also when I plan to get my custom tune... I don't have the ball$ to go full custom until my car at least has 15Kmi on it

I got a flash right away and am very happy with it. All I have is a drop in filter and the flash and my car pulls a lot harder than stock. I am happy with the power output now for a daily driver and the car still sounds, looks and drives like stock.

i had to do stuff for looks right away because my EVO was involved in a little "mishap" in a parking lot. some dumbass backed into me. my first mods were seibon carbon hood/trunk (trunk ditched for chargespeed, hood soon to follow), black UK EVOLUTION IX MR trunk badge, black painted roof, JDM IX rear bumper, and a new taillight.

shortly after came the HKS carbon ti, Buddy Club racing spec coilovers, Ralliart cf lip, K&N drop in filter. next on the list are Charge speed carbon hood, bushur racing o2 housing, 3" dp, LICP, Random 3" HFC, HKS type-1 turbo timer, flash/tune, Volk RE30's, more suspension mods, and whatever else i can think of.
