CF Gauge Pod--Anyone tried this one?

Found this poking around on eBay...anybody tried this? Wondering about fitment and quality.

I am looking to go Double DIN in the future, and I really don't like a-pillar set-ups (my own taste/hang-up...not hating on them), so I am looking for alternatives. Don't like the look of the RexSpeeds, either (again my taste, not hating...)

hmmm...looks like it's for a Subi. I would go with the Rexspeed one if I were you. Perfect color match/fitment and fantastic price. Here are pics of mine installed

You could wire loom the wires inside the gauge housing, and then have 1 wire come out of the housing.. But I agree not a fan of the housings without the visors.. My .02

I like, maybe I will have to pick up the rexspeed pod instead of single pods like I have...

Yes it does look alot like the Suby ones...In poking around a little more, it looks like it was probably molded off the Defi Triple Meter hood for the Evo 7-8-9

And yes, your Rexspeed pod is very nicely installed. I just don't care for their gauge pod...I think it is the heavy lip on the bottom and the large area under the gauge that turns me off... just not feeling it. Too bad too as it is a well constructed piece, priced well.

Maybe I can find a thread with the Defi hood installed to get an idea of how it would look.

I thought about the Defi hood but it costs WAY too much and you have to drill into your dash to use it. There are some pics of it in the interior setup thread at the top of show & shine I believe.

I'm with you there! That's kinda why I was eyeballing this one.

I may just go completely custom...find a used dash pad, mold a nice looking gauge pod (haven't played with fiberglass for a couple of years now...) and cover it with the flocking they use in Grp.N rally cars.

...Or cut a hole in the top of the dash (I ain't skeered) so a pod sits more flush in the dash like the Suby one does...Dunno right now. May go out to the garage and stare at it a while.

Now where did I put all that extra time...
