It seems I lost a bit of reception when I put mine on

 

Dude the perrin antenna is fine. There's a lot of ppl that run around with that thing with no probs. There's guys here in Vegas that have gotten that thing back in 03 on there evo's and still have it today.

I personally just did the ghetto chop on my 05 and then again on my 06'. Reception is fine.

 

That looks like a cell phone antenna! Kinda cool...

 

can we see what it looks like from a few feet back? I only ever see closeups of the 2 incher.

I tried ordering one from Speed Element, cept they never called me back. Not a huge deal though since I already have the 4". I just wanted it to be as small as possible.

I have the old Perrin and think it is perfect. Reception isnt as good as stock but it wasnt that good anyway so what's the difference really?

Believe me it also looks nice. I think a four incher is tooooo long. You guys are just too used to that long *** "RC" antenna. LOL.

 

Thanks for your comments on this. For a while there, I thought I was the ONLY one. LOL. Yeah, I agree, the reception is just as good as the stock.

 

I have the same ant. with my AVIC-Z1 and works fine.
