Black 5zigens 18x9.5 Silver Evo

As a result of damaged stockies and unable to find stock replacement for my bent and unusable wheel, the choice was to go aftermarket. After long research, 18x9.5 35mm and a 255/35 tire seemed to be a safe but aggressive solution. The wheel/tire fits like a glove and would strongly recommend the application. For those looking into the FN01R-C, the spokes concave after the width of 9in is reached and makes a hell of a difference.

Stock height. I wanted to first see the gap and clearance before buying the springs. I think I will go with the Tanabe GF200s 1.5 F and .6 R. I'm still researching to see if they are as good or better than the Swifts, but I read equal responses for both. I also read the review on the BC Racing BR coilovers on the homepage. I don't track, daily driver. I due some spirited driving whenever safe and possible. Im hoping to find a solution for springs ASAP.

Looks good. Guy down the street from me put those rims on his forester. I think I might have to grab a set of those in bronze.

Discount Tire Co down the street from me. They have a website and order straight through 5zigen. I was looking for Hyper Black at first but the shipment arrives in May according to 5zigen for the 18x9.5 application. This Gloss Black/Pol Lip on a 18x9.5 was the last set according to 5zigen.

Also, Gloss black w/Pol Lip is ussually costs about $30 extra anywhere. Since my initial order was for the Hyper Black at $280/wheel, Ian at the Convoy ST San Diego location was able to give me the wheels for the same price and also deducted and additional $10 per tire for the Dunlop Sport Maxx at $240 ea. Good reviews at Tire Rack on that tire. Is too early for me to give any good reviews though.

Caution on this choice

Just a word of wisdom. Be very careful with those wheels. I was also very careful and never once used any sort of chemical to clean these. Within 6 months the clear coat on the polished part became brittle on 3 of the 4 wheels and then fell off. Now just the other day while cleaning them this happend. Be very careful.....
