A little JDM @ Buschur Racing.... Jrod's car is ready for some action!

FINALLY.... after being put away for almost 6 months due to the great Ohio winter my Evo is back out and ready for '07.

I took it out of storage to put on some new additions lastweek and shot a quick teaser pic but now that everything (almost everything) is buttoned up I did a rather quick detail yesterday and went and took some pictures for you guys.

Some people may or may not know that I did some additional power mods right before I put the car away last fall. With the addition of the new parts the horsepower and torque is now up to 398whp / 296trq on STRAIGHT 94 octane and 22-23psi. On C16 race gas the car now makes 502whp / 402trq. on 29-30psi. Both of these tunes are still conservative and I still have more room to play with.

The parts that were added before I put the car away are our BR special grind cams (not the BF272), BR valve springs & retainers, Our drop in J&E Pistons, Crower Rods, ported intake manifold, 1000cc injectors and our Modified drop in fuel pump.

The block was not taken out of the car to do this. It was an in chassis build so it is not technically a full BR Stage 3 block. The head is still stock accept for the addition of our valve springs and retainers to handle the larger cams. It is not a BR stage 3 head as it is still stock valves, NO porting or polishing, not O-ringed, etc...

For those interested.....here is a COMPLETE list of what is done to my car.

Buschur Racing Drop in J&E Pistons & Crower Rods

Now without further ado.........

I will have the car at a private track rental @ Norwalk Raceway Park on May 7th to shoot for a good solid 10sec pass. Prior to the new power and addition of the drag radials the cars best pass was a 11.04 @128mph on a 92 degree day with a 1.74 60'. I did better the MPH at the NOPI World Finals with a 131mph pass but with a 11.41 E.T. and a spinning 1.91 60'. Im looking forward to seeing it go down towards in the 10.60 range. Im going to see what I can do in it then im going to let Trent take the controls to see what he can pull off.

I would also like to thank all of the guys here at the shop! I couldnt ask for a better group of guys to work with everyday (well some days I could ). David does all my tuning, Daniel and Steve do all my mechinical work and everyone else just puts up with me when I throw temper tantrums when something doesnt go right.

EDIT: A few pics with my buddies SRT-4

Hope you guys like it.

Take care!
