will mitsu warranty window glass?

I got a tint job about 3 months ago and when it was done there was some weird blue streaks in the backglass as well as some of the same type of artifacts on the side windows that look like dripping water. For the longest time i thought that it was the tint job being done poorly, but i was washing my car today and when i was looking at the front window i noticed the same discoloration on the front windshield. The tint people did not tint the front window and now my belief is that the problem is in the glass. This is what the tint place told me in the first place, and i also took it to 3 other tint places as well. pics

the last 2 pictures are of the front windshield and its a little less clear. I believe that the tint being so dark actually makes the discoloration even more visible.

You will have a better chance of getting it covered if you take the tint off. Its a lot cheaper to re-tint than to replace glass. Your call

Take to the dealer, have the service manager take digital pictures of the problem areas himself. He will have to submit the photos to his district manager for aproval. It would be up to the district manager weither he will cover them. I highly doubt it because the tint. Best of luck tho

thats what i thought too, bad tint job.... but i took it to 3 different tint places and they all said that the discoloration was actually inside the glass... believe me i was skeptical until i saw the same color in the windshield of the car and thw windshield was not tinted at all....

+1

I had something similar like that on my last car. The tint guy told me it was some water repellent product. Didn't look as bad as your but mine went away in a month or two....

It looks like the chemical he used as a lubricant dried between the tint and the window. safety glass does have plastic between the layers of glass, but the contamination from that is EXTREMELY rare, and doesn't look anything like this.

you can see the squeegy marks. Your tint guy needs to re-do it, and get rid of the dish soap in the lubricant water.

glycerin with additives from dish soap. I've used straight glycerin mixed in very low ratio to purified water as a lube. I've seen people who use dish soap in the water and come up with results like this.
