i was leaning toward the 20g because im looking for a daily driver with just 93 octane at 23 psi and i didnt think i would get the benifits of the 3065 with that.

You said the car spools at 3800...im guessing thats not full boost....when full boost hit??

The 20G-lt is a fair bit smaller than the 57 trim which is smaller than the 3065. I'm not sure of the compressor wheel size on the 20G-lt but at the advertised 49lb/min flow rating in theory it would flow about 11% less than a 57 trim. The 57 trim is a 56mm compressor wheel and the 3065 is a 61mm wheel, both with similarly sized exhaust wheels.

If your plans never include more than 25-26 psi then you'll have the best powerband with the 54mm 50 trim. If you think you'll ever be headed into the 26-30psi range with methanol injection then the 57 or 58 (58mm compressor wheel) would be good choices for a mostly street application. Unless you plan for the car to see regular track use and 30+psi I wouldn't recommend any 61mm turbocharger.

While Monty is a great guy, he's a bit off on his tech info at times Expect full boost in the lower 4000 RPM range on a 57 or 58. His dyno graph shows full boost at or around 4800RPM because the pull started at 4500RPM or some damn thing

I just switched from our 35R (61mm) kit to our 58 kit for my mostly street driven EVO on methanol. While the 61mm offers killer top end, it sacrifices a bit of street driveability and that wasn't something I was willing to do with a street car that has an amazing AWD system.

Thanks for the info
Yea thats why i didnt want to go too big because i knew i wouldnt be getting the full benifit of the turbo with just 93 octane at 23 psi...i want something thats nice for a daily driver and doesn't take forever to start spoolin...thats why i was thinking the 20g. I dont plan on running meth or anything....with 93 octane would 23 psi be the highest i can go to keep as a safe daily driver???
Another reason why i was gonna get the 20g is because i heard it flows about same as the 50 trim and a whole lot cheaper.
Whats your take on the 20g vs. 50 trim??

If your plans don't ever include more than 23psi then a 50 trim will be right in its peak efficiency. At that boost level a 50 trim will offer a powerband fatter than anything else, and area under the curve is what makes for a great driving experience. A 20G will make peak torque a hair sooner but will also taper more quickly, likening its driving experience more toward a stock sized turbocharger. My opinion would be to put your money into other supporting mods, or something else entirely, before purchasing a Green. I just don't see it being enough of an improvement over the stock turbocharger to warrant its cost.

I'll basically have all supporting mods to the car when i get back sometime this week hopefully. 3" turboback w/ cat-delete, intake, lower intercooler pipe, interooler, o2 housing, 255 fuel pump, s1 cams, arp headstuds, wiseco pistons, eagle rods, supertech valves, and mbc set to 23psi.
So next would prob be a turbo but i want to keep it a daily driver so i want something that dones't take forever to spool... when does the 50 trim start to spool...and when does it hit full boost?
I heard the 20g flows almost as much as the 50 and that i should just get the 20g.

50 trims spool very aggressively and before 4000RPM for full boost in the low 20s. My opinion on the 20G vs. 50 trim is still the same as three posts up
