I recently did mine.
It is VERY easy, just expensive. The parts only come in white from the dealer. It's 820 for the bumper. 300-500 for the lip depending on which one you go with and 400-500 for grills and supports depending on how thorough you wish to be.
I'm actually selling my complete Evo IX front conversion with the SE lip for 1500, which is 300 under what I have into it.

don't forget the taillights! i would think you could get a lot of the parts from ppl with evo 9's that have changed out their parts (i.e. swapped on a different bumper/chin spoiler and taillights) [much cheaper than from the dealer]
