Crash beam final version
Brian managed to get a little more weight off while adding strength by taking out some tubing while adding a couple more dimple die gussets so the beam now weighs only 7.5 lbs to shave over 10 lbs off the tail of the car. Its actualy a little better than the original in a impact as well.
He also added the lower brackets shown here to fix the JDM bumper rear flapping by using the normaly unused factory mounting points on the JDM bumper. He has subsiquntly added tabs to mount the licence plate and licence plate lights.
I guess I can finaly get my car back now.

I think Brian made one to stock for now, he can make more if there is interest because he made a jig for the beam and a template for the lower bracket. If you are interested you can call him at 714 220 2030.

I'm thinking of keeping my stock rear bumper brace and bending it at a 45 degree angle and putting it in my trunk. That way when somebody rear-ends me and totals my car because of lack of a rear-bumper support, the insurance adjuster will find a bent rear-bumper support in the wreckage Great way not to have to worry about it, unless you're dead of course.
