I'm certainly not gonna knock your attempt at customizing your helmet, but you do realize that KBC makes helmets in flat colors like black, blue, red, etc.? I don't know if you just got a deal on that one particuarly or whatever, but yeah they do make them. Anyway, good luck with that. I'm sure it'll look good.

lol.
Also, I get the feeling you will have the faint smell of paint for the life of the helmet
edit: that's assuming the visor even fits back onto the helmet....although i guess you don't need a visor when driving cars anyway.

well hell, the paint smell thing would suck. the vents are all taped off, that shouldn't be much of a problem if any. as for the visor, why wouldn't it fit back on? the brackets that hold them on are in the kitchen. they will be bolted back up after it's dry. the helmet's gonna look a lot better than it did when i bought it.

Alright...now that I see it's making progress, I can understand why you painted it differently. It looks like it's going to match pretty nicely actually. Nice work.

it looks pretty good, but it's hard to see the purple in the pics. it's got a slight tint to it. this is my first time ever painting anything like this, so i think it came out pretty good. just waiting for the damn clear to dry so i can put the visor and stuff back on.
