The inner-fender padding looks like sound deadener.
And as for them being in crap shape. Maybe more of an issue with quality controll than quality product? IE: Bad batch?

come on ant your a baller. 275 more and just get the hrs ones that you know will fit. I dun have gaps and people that don't know what an evo is assume that they're stock. Oh yea one more thing, with accolade you have to pay tax and shipping so add another 50-75ish? If you go with jondemand, just pick it up with cash and save on the extra cost.
If you wanna save on paint there is another option for these fenders as well. HRS actually gave their mold to a us company to make carbon versions of these fenders and they run like 650ishh i believe. They're not replicas as they use the actual mold so they should fit better too. I forgot the companies name but if someone can fill it in that be nice.

no real close ups but you can get an idea of how perfectly it lines up with the rest of the body.

I hope you dont think im going cheap on this.....
$275 may not sound like much at first, but to me thats 2 extra track days, or credit towards the paint... not to mention 1/3rd of additional cost of say, the SEIBONS. In addition, that puts me out of the budget I initially set aside for this project by $300 dollars!
If I can find a good compromise between cost and getting good results from a similar product, then I would rather choose that path. Similarly to your choice in having me lower your car for free vs. paying a shop to do it. Both achieved the same results but it left some extra cash in your pocket for additional mods, right?
If Jondemand really has these garageHRS fenders in stock for that price you mentioned to me, I would gladly consider it as a top contender. However, that is not a typical price for garageHRS fenders, and I am weary of buying anything from those guys in the first place since I read nothing but poor reviews on their business practices, etc. Yes its the intardnet, but I take everything into account. Besides, arent they in Japan again? (light humor)
The carbon ones you reference must be the SEIBONS.
So far, those are the only 3 garageHRS style fenders Ive managed to dig up:
SEIBON
ACCOLADE
GARAGEHRS
ASPEC 30mm fenders (which i suspect are the Accolades)
That is the reason why I want to see more pics of the three above. The more I see, the more I'll be able to gauge quality vs. cost, etc. My EVO will not be a show car, but I dont want it to look like caca either... Fitment appears to be inconsistent from person to person on all three products, so i just want to see. Yours looks perfect. So do the Seibons. I have also seen poor seibons and poor garageHRS installs.. so when all said is done and all require adjustments of sorts, why not save $300 in the process?
