mine does as well, I've got two friends with black evos, and they look like a jet black. They were repainted, but both body shops used the paint code on the fire wall..... Maybe mitsu used a different clear?
I waxed the hell out of mine yesterday and I love the purple.... Makes me want really dark bronze wheels......

Thats not needed, just give them the paint code, the paint name is not sufficient. The paint code will show up in any mixing station and be what mitsu specifies. Now for the paint not having sufficient flake it could be a bad mix or someone not spraying correctly. As someone else mentioned if you are that worried about it ask for a test panel of the paint and take it out in the sun to see if its what you want.
