Restoring "waxed" Rubber, Plastic, Trim, etc.
Is it possible? Anything on the market to return the color\luster to items that should not have been touched by the waxing process.
Any feedback is appreciated!

Use rubbing alchohol to remove the wax residue
Then apply Black Magic Trim and Tire shine. This is a heavy silicone dressing that will return alot of the black look. It's also VERY good on door seals to keep them soft.

Try this stuff to remove the wax residue.

And use this on the trim, rubber, etc........

Vinylex from Lexol is really good as well.

Here's a tip.
1. Apply the stuff liberally to the surface.
2. Allow the stuff to sit a good couple of hours.
Even better if you can apply the stuff and let it sit overnight.
3. In the morning take a clean cotton terry cloth and wipe away the excess.
IMO letting the product sit for a couple of hours allows the chemical to permeate the plastic, rubber, or vinyl and give you that nice new plastic look.
A couple of years back I actually applied some of the Meguiars stuff on my old daily driver's black door trim pieces and forgot to wipe it off.
Mind you this was a daily driver that was washed maybe once a month and was parked outside very often.
The stuff sat overnight and the next morning I wiped it off and was amazed by the results.
Give it a try .
