so if i order one of these, i have to have the glass removed (obviously, and no biggie) then how do you remove the stock roof? plasma cutter or is it riveted on like this one? please excuse my ignorance i have never really looked at our roofs with the intention of removing them.

then to install this there's no welding just sealant and rivets, correct?

glass removal is a biggie, man. Local places tell me that they cannot guarantee that they can remove it without breaking the glass, Evo glass is flimsy thin too. My IXMR broke its windshield very easily and mitsu replaced it under warranty. they said it had a diff part no. compared to regular lancers and cost twice as much - they could be potsmokers, who knows? Just my 2 cents!

i meant that because front wind shield is pitted and needs to be replaced (free replacemeant from insurance) rear is cracked from a subzero winter and needs to be replaced. also will be free. my windshields are tinted so they are sent to my tint shop first to get tinted 50% o that is where the roof would go in and out. or out and in...

by no biggie i was implying that its straight forward glass comes out. probably will break. glass goes back in. not brocken.

from the dealer a evo windshield is 489.00 no different from a ix to a viii but different than a lancer yes i get new windshields about 3 to 4 times a year. and i never use cheap replacements only oem you just have to ask...

Eric,

Do you happen to have a picture of how Ivan removed the antenna (the whole unit) or could you PM me one, I think that you have to remove the headliner from inside the car but I am stuck at that point?

btw I'll be buying one of these of you shortly (hopefully)

I can answer this for AMS boys - Yes, its bolted from under the headliner. You need to drop headliner, undo bolt and wiring and it comes out of the top
