Question about Lip?
I have an Evo VIII lowered on Tein S - Tech Springs and I was wondering what is going to happen to a carbon fiber lip if I get one as my current lip is basically destroyed on the bottom (my evo is ww)

Probably get busted if the drop caused the first one to get busted . In all honestly the S Tech drops the car way too low in the front IMHO.

You'll definitely be scrapping, way too low. I have a replica Do Luck, dropped 1 inch on coilovers and it's low. Get rid of the S-techs because coilovers you have the ability to adjust the stiffness so it won't make you bottom out.

I used to have those s**** springs, and my c/f lip got pretty scrapped up underneath. But who cares you couldn't tell. If you get a decent lip that isn't weak it will prolly be fine. Be graceful with driveways and speedbumps.
My car was at this height for about a year, and my lip never broke.
Although the road conditions where I live are pretty favorable.

Depends on street conditions. Dont waste money on a do luck looking lip itll only become a bad investment. If I were you I would take those horrible springs off then go with a lip.

what springs are good rather than going the s-techs? i ahve them on atm but look to change in a month or so as it sits too low at the front with the do-luck lip on. i htink it drops it 2inches at front? would probably be looking at around a 1.4 inch drop instead because the lip adds a fair bit.

If your stock lip is scraping due to a drop, what do you honestly expect to happen when you add a lower aftermarket lip?
I'm dropped on Tanabe GF-210's with a carbon fiber lip and scrape on some driveways, won't even bother attempting others. Here's the damage after one season's use:
Nothing horrible, it's still intact and looks fine other than the bottom, but with the S Techs, you're way too low if you're scraping stock. I'm still dropped but with no lip because it's winter and I don't scrape anywhere now. No issues.
Your only option is to get different springs/coilovers if you want the lip, but that's a lot of work just for the lip that will still get scraped up. Your call. But it's obvious it will get destroyed with your current setup.
PS Who cares how busted the bottom of your lip is?
