I called a Mitsu dealer today to ask for one of those plastic covers that pop in in place of a stereo (DIN size). They guy had no clue what I was talking about. He told me he will call back but I really doubt it. Man, if they can't figure out a plastic cover, I'd hate to ask for a wheel bearing or something.

Could someone be so kind as to give me the exact part number for this part so I can just go and get one.

Well, the guy from dealer #1 (Norristown, PA) never called back.
So, I called dealer #2 (a bit further away in Downingstown, PA) and they sourced my part within 20 seconds. It was not in stock but they'll get me one, $6. I guess dealer #1 does not want my business, nor did they inspire any confidence me.

I did not think you needed to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out....

I dont know the part number, but you should just ask them for the Eclipse, Galant Radio deletion cover. Or ask them to bring up the graph for any Eclipse RS and you should locate it.

Interesting...

MZ598263EX is not what is on my labels. I checked into it as kcevo PM'ed me asking for it as he had trouble ordering with the above number, so I checked what I got.

Mine is as follows:
