Need help from JDM Rear Bumper Owners

I wanted to know how many of you all that own JDM rear bumpers had to get it paint matched even after it coming pre-painted, specifically Wicked White EVO owners? I have a Wicked White IX and wanted to know if after paying 600+ for the bumper, whether or not I'd have to get it paint matched. If that's the case, I may as well go another aftermarket route.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all the input. I'm beginning to worry about the install on these bumpers, anyone have any opinions about that? How long did it take everyone to install one of these?

Really, I think it matches my 06 MR really well. I can't tell a difference.

I am considering purchasing the painted JDM one or the other aftermarket unpainted JDM J's Aero bumper.

I am concerned about installing it. How difficult was it and what all does it entail?

If you can use a drill and a rivet gun yourself, the installation is a piece of cake. As far as being paint matched, it is about as good as it gets. A lot of the difference people see is probably from installing a brand new bumper on a car that is not perfectly clean.

The paint doesnt even match perfect on the OEM bumper. You will tell more of a diffrence on a lighter color. My Apex Silver JDM Bumper matches the same way as the OEM Bumper. Both of them are not perfect match.

Yeah I don't have a rivet gun and my drill sucks/doesn't work.

Maybe I can get some help locally.

Could the install be done with just a drill?

No you have to re-rivet everything. A rivet gun that works is like $20.
If you can afford a $600 bumper, you can afford the correct tools to put it on.

JDM has two type of white. I think it's peal white and WW, that's why it's off sometimes. I think the dealer didn't notice this at the beginning, but if you contact the seller and tell them that you want WW, they'll make sure that they get you the right color.
