You won't rub. Back when I autox'ed and road course raced on Tanabe springs and -.9 rear camber with 255 Victoracers I didn't rub

How are these size tires on stock rim? Do they have more give because of the stretched rubber?

BTW, my 255 Victo's were on the stock Enkei's. Nothing to worry about in the rear. The front will get some slight rub on the plastic inner fender liner at full lock with the suspension under compression...but it is very minor. It is a rub that would only occur at an autox and not on the street or road course.
255's are an easy bolt on fit. They don't rub anymore than a 245/45 does.
The REAL fitment issues come into play when you step up to a 275/40/17, 275/35/18, 285/30/18 or an aggressive offset aftermarket wheel.

Does anyone else have any driving impressions of this specific sized tire on stock rims?

I have 255-40-18 on my rgII's and they rub on stock suspension. I rolled my fenders and am good now, but has anybody lowered with this setup. I want to get the tanabe springs and dont know if i will rub or not. Any info would be appreciated.

YtDiamond05 you might want to make your own thread as this thread is only talking about 255's on stock rims. Just an FYI for those wondering I did mount the 255's and the stock BBS SE rims and that fit is perfect. It really looks like the tires were made for the rims and there is no buldging at all. I run 35psi up front and 31 out back. With my Tein coilevers lowered 1.5 inches all around there is no rub at all even at full lock. Also the overall handling of the car is simply amazing, much better than stock. I have alittle oversteer with the new suspension but body roll is greatly reduced and feels almost nonexistant even with the 255's. THe best part of the 255's is the grip, i'm running rt-615's so with that size i'd say it grips better than stock.
