Most of the new cabin filters from mitsu are "activated charcoal" type. The absorb alot of the "funk" floating in the air. If your EVO didn't come with one, you may have to cut the blower housing to install it. Mitsu has a technical service bulletin about how to install. Here is the pic.

Mitsu says replace every 15,000 or more frequent in dusty/high pollen areas.
Its a small price to pay healthy breathing.

What if I don't have a filter installed? What am I breathing in? Since I have a the 03 the box is shut out. I've been procrastinating doing the install since it wasn't done by the 1st owner.

oh shiiiet time to change man ASAP, i have 38k i think its about time to change it!! (i work at a dealership and we change them every 15k?!!?) LoL shame on mee haha
