I wouldnt spray the engine while its hot... Hot metal and cool water dont really mix to well. Thats a quick way to break something.

Don't drive the car if you want it to stay clean.

as long as you have a good coat of wax it should stay good. I use a california duster on my car in between washings once a week to keep the dust off of it. also, dry it off after you wash...

What are you talking about? I don't wash my car that often and it stills looks clean. I am talking about GG. I don't wash it often because of the weather in Seattle, it's sucks.

Try to clean your garage.

Apparently you think that its easier to steal a 30k vehicle than it is 2000 dollars worth of stuff... You've either got a nice tow truck, or really strong arms. Plus the 2000 worth of "crap" may actually need to be kept away from the weather, while the car (hopefully) does not.

Anyway, I feel your pain, my white becomes brown and black below about the halfway mark on the car after a few days. Wax or something similar is the easiest way to keep it gone, I spent 3 hours washing/waxing/etc the first day it was warm here, the car still looks pretty shiny asside from the crap on the lower half.

I think its just Mitsubishi Paint. Yellow looks dull after a day or two after washing.

Apparently, you've never owned a black car. My black DD gets dusty just sitting in the garage for a few hours, even w/ a nice coat of sealant and wax. GG looks fairly clean even after a rainy drive.

I have owned several black cars. The GG isn't horrible, it just doesn't stay clean enough to my liking. I am just picky. I like that shiny, "I just washed it 5 minutes ago" look. Ha, I am screwed huh? This color is 100% easier to keep clean than black though.
