Painted the rollers. . .

I finally got around to painting half my wheels. It's a graphite color. Wheel see how the paint holds up.

Here's a crappy phone pic after I finished one wheel. I'll get more crappy phone pics when I'm completely done. Yes, I'm rockin 2 stock colored wheels and 2 painted wheels. Don't worry they're on different sides of the car, so no one will notice unless they see both sides. Weather permitting, they'll be done tomorrow.

I followed the how-to. I sanded them down, blew the dust off with air, wiped them down with acetone, then painted them. I'm kinda worried about the paint I used though, it's dupli-color textured metallic. It was the only paint I could find in the color I wanted. I found a wheel paint, but the color was a little to light on my test sprays. Hopefully it'll hold up. You don't notice the texture until you're right up on them. Even then it's really fine. I was skeptical at first, but now they're painted I really like it. It seems to break up some of the metallic and kinda has a not flat paint, but not glossy paint look to it. I really like it. I will try to borrow my friends camera and get better pics. The previous one was last night after I got the wheels back on.

Thanks for the compliments.

Here's some better pics. It's cloudy so. . .I'll get some more up when it's sunny.

Thank you. It really wasn't hard, but it took a while sanding them down. Any paint job is only as good as the prepwork going into it. If you spend all your time sanding and making sure you have a good surface to paint, you should be fine.

I also think they should have come this way. Darker than what they do anyways.
