Car weighs 2580 with cage LOL... Doors and carbon fiber driveshaft are next and should put me into the 2400 range. I'm leaving the interior alone though. I don't want it to look like a gutted race car. All trim is inside, windows and door locks, etc are all functional. All headlight(actually HIDS) and and taillights all working.

vesendak- Hard to notice on regular daily driving. That being said, hardly worth removing unless you need every ounce of weight removed. I went all out so its sitting in a box with everything else that belongs in the car LOL...

Thanks guys, the car is coming along nicely. There is tons left to make the car lighter so it will be interesting to see what the final weight is. It seems to be one of the lightest thats been posted and an easy 150 is coming out. Just need the funds. Once its all set and I've run this damn 10 sec pass thats been haunting me, its going to Buschurs for a complete build. 700whp and 2400 pounds should be a killer combo.... For now, just need the rain to clear so I can get some runs in. I drove it the other day and the car feels so light. I can't wait to see how it performs with all these changes I've made. Time will tell.

A little OT: I thought the NRG seats are not (yet) certified/legal in NHRA ?

What year is your car? Also, does it have ACD? Have you driven one with/without ACD on the track to see the difference?

Cheers,
Mark

evotris- They are not yet certified. I am told if its not certified it must be mounted to the cage with a support. I didn't do that either as I didn't want to mess with a beautiful seat. The only hassle I've had so far at the track is my 6 point harness that is certified until 2013. It is fia approved not sfi WTF....

lowside67-2006 and yes it still has ACD. I wish I made the swap but didn't realize I was going to this level when I sent it off to Shep. I hear the change is good, but have no personal experience.

needaevo8-Thanks...
