The DC Sports without the muffler is about as loud as the ETS w/ a muffler. I always enjoyed starting it up in the morning in my apartment complex. The sound of the turbo was VERY audible. After she warms up, it wasn't much louder then it was before. The ETS is gnarlier. No doubt about it. Anyone who isn't deaf will hear you coming about a mile down the road. I've got a friend who lives right off route 83 and he could hear me before I even got off the exit ramp of the highway.

As far as any serious gains from going to the 3.5in... probably not much.

 

I have a dc sports 3" and my gf neighbor is throwing cigs on my car in the middle of the nite because i get up at 5am. Can't imagine what he would do with the 3.5".

Just can't prove it is him yet but when i catch him he'll regret it

 

try the cobb catback with a resonated test pipe, does wonders!!

I reeeeaaaaaallllyyy dig the Dub. I have a MKII GTI with a 24 valve VR6 swapped in that is my lil' project car.. MThe Evo sounds great too.KI and MKII's are hard to beat for old school pimp style..
